How much experience do you have?
I graduated from Monash University with the Bachelor of Business Accounting & Bachelor of Computing in 2001 and began my 1st job as a Tax Accountant that year.
I completed the CA program in 2005 and was granted my certificate of public practice in 2008 which allowed me to start Andrew McLachlan.CA as a sole practitioner in Melbourne.
I received my SMSF auditor registration in 2014 and completed the Diploma of financial planning in 2017 in order to obtain a limited AFSL.
We changed name to Brisbane CA's in 2019 to expand business into sunny Brisbane which promises to be the fastest growing city in the country!
How much do you know about SMSFs?
I began as a tax accountant but quickly developed an interest in superannuation. I became a registered SMSF auditor in 2014 although I predominately concentrate on SMSF Accounting & Tax return preparation. I have prepared the financials and tax returns of hundreds of self managed funds and spent much time studying how best to deal with recent changes to super.
Covid-19
Covid-19 combined with tech investment has created a work from home opportunity that we have largely embraced at BCAs.
We now conduct most of our work through phone & email post Covid & arrange our client meetings by appointment at our cbd consulting suite. Should you prefer a face to face meeting please contact us to make an appointment.
